It's time to add Evo to your haircare routine

It's time to add Evo to your haircare routine

In case you missed the memo, we absolutely love Evo. If you’re unfamiliar with the brand, you’ve probably already seen their aesthetically pleasing packaging on the ‘gram at some point - but today we’re here to talk a little more about it all.

The Australian-owned and made hair care brand is known for its quirky names and descriptions on the bottle but Evo’s real drawing point is that it actually works. They claim they aren’t selling it as the answer to life, life and other woes but to us, it does solve a lot of hair problems. The whole range is unisex and contains active ingredient to make sure they actually do what they say they will and nourish your hair at the same time. Evo is also sulphate, paraben, DEA, TEA, and propylene glycol-free so it’s good for you and it respects the environment as well.

There’s a good reason why we keep mentioning their products in our blogs and how-tos so we thought w'd take this chance to go into a little more detail about some of our favourites.

Water Killer Dry Shampoo

If you think that dry shampoo is just dry shampoo, then you're wrong. Despite being one of our favourite hair products, a lot of things could go wrong if you don't pick the right one. The smell can be overpowering, you can end up as a ball of powder that is impossible to brush out and worst of all, it might not actually remove excess oil and grime from your hair. Water Killer not only absorbs the oil, it also acts as a texture spray to give that second day or third day hair a good lift.

Haze Styling Powder

If you have fine, limp hair that needs some lovin', you'll be thanking the heavens for this little miracle styling powder. Even if you don't, you'll definitely appreciate the life that a good spray of this powder can lend to your locks. A simple spritz into your roots and a quick rub will create volume - great for freshly washed hair that is a little lacklustre in the texture department. And a simple rub later in the day will re-activate its magic as well.

Salty Dog Salt Spray

Evo describe their version as sea-esque mist that will give you perfect beach based texture. Great for those hair strands that are craving more texture and body than your average styling product can give you. Simply spritz into damp hair and let it air dry for a natural looking matte finish.

Alternatively: Try Day of Grace if you're looking for something more conditioning or Mister Fantastic if you're going to blow dry it and need a little styling help and hold.

And while the whole range can be used by both guys and girls, we feel like some of the guys might need a little help on the picking products front... So we've highlighted a few of the popular styling products that men are loving online.

With all orders over $49 this week, you can also pick of two following mini Evo styling products to test out at home.*

Casual Act

More of a whip than a cream, this is the lightest of the styling offerings but still creates a lot of texture, separation and definition. A plus is that it also reduces frizz and improves manageability. It’s great for guys who wear their hair in less structured styles or who have slightly longer hair that needs flexible hold and need to be easily styled. Also for the ladies who rock short-medium styles that need a little help on the texture front.

Box o Bollox

Moving up in the chain of textures, Box o Bollox is your go-to texture paste when you need extra strong hold with a matte finish. So essentially, great for the short and textured haircuts - or in particular, the guys who wear their hair slicked back. It’s best to keep structured looks in place and builds body.

Crop Strutters

For those who need a pure medium hold that is malleable but also provides a good amount of support, Crop Strutters is for you. Great for short hair but also suitable for all hair types, this little styling cream gives you hold and definition so you can apply some to your ends once you’ve styled your hair to create some texture.

Cassius Clay

Don’t be afraid because it’s called a ‘clay’, it won’t weigh down your hair! It provides raw texture with a strong yet malleable hold that’s perfect to create structured looks that remain in place. It’s actually also quite flexible and can be restyled really easily during the day. Cassius is perfect for those with thicker and coarser hair.
